The design department constantly develops products to support Ansei in the future. This includes completely new fields and the next-generation latch products that have supported Ansei thus far. For this reason, they are constantly surveying market trends and aiming to create better products than other companies. They use a cutting-edge design support system to offer durable designs, and by providing quality assurance that is understood globally, they are developing products that are trusted by the company in terms of quality and cost. Additionally, they are creating and verifying prototypes for the products they have designed. Ansei products, deployed throughout the world, are all developed by the design department.

The production technology department is the department that proposes plans for production processes based on the product drawings and part drawings created by the design department. This department also designs the equipment and molds required for production, arranges manufacturing, and prepares for mass production in domestic and overseas factories. Their tasks include desk work, such as creating specifications and daily plans, for processes, equipment, and molds, design work, and the creation of related materials, as well as site work, including confirmation and adjustment of completed production processes, equipment, and models. They also go on business trips to domestic and overseas factories to prepare for production in domestic and overseas factories. In this way, the production technology department is in charge of all work from design to transfer of the mass production molds to the factories.

The quality assurance department, as the name suggests, is the department that “assures and controls” the “quality” at the core of manufacturing, and their work is further divided into the quality assurance department and quality control department. They ascertain whether the product specifications and quality specs are satisfied, and deal with any inquiries and requests for confirmation regarding quality from the customer. Additionally, they are in charge of confirming safety and reliability in accordance with test-based raw material and production processes for maintaining the quality of parts produced daily within the factory. It is the job of the quality assurance department to deliver “safe products (high-quality products) that can be used reliably by customers and end-users” and thus gain the trust of customers.

The product evaluation department is the department to evaluate our products and parts from the development stage to mass production with a variety of tests. The evaluation tests comprise functional confirmation, operability, destruction strength, durability and environmental tests, etc. The results of the evaluations are fed back to the design, quality assurance, and production technology departments, and these are used to achieve high-quality and high-reliability products, and prevent the occurrence and leaking of defective products. Furthermore, in addition to using existing equipment to perform the evaluation tests, they perform the design and development of testing devices within the product evaluation department.

The management planning department is the department for planning the company management plan and managing its progress. They summarize the sales forecasts and investment plans and perform analysis and management of the data. They also provide management support of overseas-related subsidiaries and, from time to time, conduct web conferences in English with local staff. When necessary, they visit the local sites, and provide advice directly. This department is also in charge of cost estimates for our own products, including those of overseas-related subsidiaries, and they negotiate and coordinate with related departments globally.

The procurement department is the department that purchases the materials required for company activities from the best suppliers domestically and internationally. They purchase the necessary products at the required time and quality, at the highest quality, as cheaply as possible. In the manufacturing industry in particular, material costs comprise a large share of the cost price, and as everyday cost improvement activities greatly affect the profitability of a company, this is vital work that holds the key to corporate business strategy. For this reason, the procurement department plays the important role of building mutual relationships of trust, and nurturing and supporting suppliers for growth.
